As it’s the 3 year anniversary of the YouTube page going up, some people are naming today, June 19th, as StarKid’s birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STARKID!!
You’ve done more for your fans than you will ever begin to fathom. You’ve brought together new friends, help mended old relationships and strengthened existing ones. You’re a source of joy, laughter and happiness for hundreds of thousands of people who will never forget you. You’ve stopped people from self-harming and saved more lives than you could possibly imagine. You constantly thank us for our patronage and loyalty, but it is us who should be thanking you.
So, thank you StarKid, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you’ve done, everything you do, and everything that you will do.

#yep these are ‘those’ parents all right #the ones who show up for all the school activities #and are in the front row of all the recitals with the little camera ready to record it all #the ones who drag a thirteen year old to disneyland and get so caught up in the rides that the kid forgets that ‘it isn’t cool’ and just has to laugh #the ones who always ALWAYS turn up the music too loud and dance around each other and then kiss right there #in front of their poor kid who is trying to focus on precalculus homework and not they’re completely mortifying dads #oh god they’re the parents that we always pity the kid who has them but secretly loves it because they’re just so adorable and you can’t help but smile #oh it just writes itself doesn’t it?
